Alex Hales is a retired English cricketer known for his explosive right-handed batting, particularly in limited-overs formats. Born in Hillingdon, Middlesex, he played for England across all formats and domestically for Nottinghamshire. Hales is the first English batter to score a T20I century and was a key member of the 2022 T20 World Cup-winning team before retiring from international cricket in August 2023 to focus on franchise T20 leagues.

Alex Hales has played for the Desert Vipers and will join the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders for the fourth season of the ILT20 from ILT20 2026. He is also the tournament's all-time leading run-scorer.

Since retiring internationally, Hales plays exclusively in global T20 leagues. In 2025, he signed deals with Knight Riders franchises in Major League Cricket (MLC) and the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), which precluded him from playing in England's domestic competitions.
