  • Most Player of the Match awards in T20Is: He holds the world record with 22 awards.

  • First T20I 3000-run/100-wicket all-rounder: He is the first player from an ICC associate member nation, and the first overall, to surpass both 3,000 runs and take 100 wickets in T20 Internationals.

  • Fastest to 3,000 T20I runs: He reached the milestone in 98 innings, which is the joint-fifth fastest overall.

  • Youngest T20I Captain: At the age of 20 years and 190 days, he became the youngest male cricketer to captain a side in a T20I match.

  • Captaincy: He assumed the national captaincy in January 2024, succeeding Ahmad Faiz.
